As a freelance writer, I have written grants, publicity copy, catalogs, articles for newspapers and educational journals, on-line tutorials, and plays. Articles on the arts have appeared in Theatre Bay Area Magazine, The Harvard Gazette, The Plath Profiles, Monterey County Weekly, The Carmel Pine Cone, and other periodicals. Poetry and dramatic writing published in The Pitkin Review and ICWP Monologues for Women, Volumes 1 and 2.
I have collaborated with clients as editor, ghostwriter, and coach for over 30 years on a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction projects, including novels, business materials, memoirs, plays, screenplays, theses, articles, and website copy. Each project and client is unique and requires a custom plan.

As an educator and writing coach, I have worked with individuals to develop the skills needed to become more powerful, proficient writers.
In addition, I have designed several writing workshops and classes in Creative Writing and Writing for the Theater. My most recent work has been with the Monterey County Theater Alliance for which I am presenting a Zoom series on playwrights who have changed the American theater. I recently taught my course “Mining the Masters: Pulitzer Prize-winning Plays” for Osher Lifelong Living Institutes (OLLIs) at UC Berkeley, Dominican University, and CSUEB.
I taught several courses as Instructor and Dean of the Adult School at Pacific Repertory Theatre, School of Dramatic Art (SoDA) in Carmel, CA. In Monterey and Marin, I've presented creative writing workshops at Book Passage, Corte Madera; Yoga of Sausalito; Elsewhere Gallery, Fairfax; Studio 333 and Driver's Market, Sausalito.
For the University of Massachusetts, Boston; Lesley College, Cambridge, MA; the Muscular Therapy Institute, Cambridge, MA; and Massachusetts College of Art, I collaborated with educators to create and present writing workshops applicable to their fields, including the visual arts. I have also worked with therapists who teach in the healing modalities to facilitate self-care and self-understanding through writing. I've even worked with teachers of anatomy, using the body and its magnificent structure as departure points for writing, self-exploration, and expression.
